What board are you reviewing for us? Jimi Mcgirr, Series Ecoboards Raglan NZ, 5’4 x 20 1/2”x 2 1/2” hand-shaped mini Simmons-inspired modern channel with glassed-in performance twins, made with flax/basalt, glass and Entropy supersap bio epoxy. Fin setup: Channel twin
What beach/region did you surf with the board? Manu Bay, Raglan in 2–3ft, moderate onshore winds.
What did you think of the board? It was easy to duck dive and paddle into waves. Very floaty for me. This board had a real skater feel, it was easy to turn. I recommend it to someone who is looking for a fun board to surf those small to medium waves. You can generate a lot of speed into the waves and I found it really easy to turn. I am considering getting one made for me!

Home break: Raglan, NZ
Style of surfing: I enjoy the power of the ocean, big waves and racing down the line but I go through phases where I love cruising on a log.
Who’s surfing style inspires you? I never have to look far to find lady rippers. When I am out surfing I am always in awe of the wahine out there in the water. Around Raglan surfing with the likes of Jess Santorik always keeps me inspired.
